Fayette Central Flyer
A Note from Mrs. Phillips...
Dear Hornet Families:
I am excited to begin my journey with you as the new principal of Fayette Central Elementary. As we move into the 22-23 school year, I wanted to take some time to provide you with a little background on my journey so far and how we can begin to connect this summer.
I am not new to the community, I have lived here the past 18 years. My husband works for the city police department and I have two children that have attended FCSC and have had/are having fantastic experiences. I am excited to be joining FCSC and more importantly to begin serving you.
I am a proud graduate of Ball State University and Indiana Wesleyan University. I began my journey as a kindergarten teacher with Richmond Community Schools and was privileged to have many experiences along the way that included; grades 2-3, reading interventionist, instructional coach, district elearning specialist and most recently building level administrator. With over 20 years of public education experience, I now look forward to continuing my growth and learning with FCSC.
My passion is serving others. I strive to build capacity in our teachers and staff and aim to build strong relationships with all stakeholders. This includes knowing your child and their story. This first year will be a transition year for all of us. We have great things happening at Fayette Central and I can’t wait to see it all in action! I will provide several opportunities for you to supply feedback on my leadership and offer times to meet and collaborate with you. Your voice is critical in sustaining best practices and refining areas that we identify as growth opportunities. My first objective is to get to know you, your child, and this professional community.
I would like to invite you to a meet and greet on Monday, July 18th. PTO president Janice Evans and I will be on the playground with popsicles from 5:00-7:00 pm. Please take advantage of this time to connect with other families but also introduce yourself so we may begin our story. You may also follow our summer story on Facebook or Twitter.
Important dates to remember:
Meet & Greet: July 18
School Registration: July 26-27
Open House: August 5th
I look forward to meeting you and hope you have a safe and relaxing summer!
