A Message from Mrs. Belcher:
Leopard families,
This week is full of many events! Please review the schedule below for this week’s spirit days for Generation Texas week! We invite all Leopards to participate!
This Thursday evening is our fall family academic night. This year’s theme is Storybook Forest! We invite all Leopard families to attend this special event. You will not want to miss out! This event is a come and go event event from 5:30-7:30 p.m. We encourage families to dress as their favorite storybook characters.
Below is a link to sign-up to have lunch with your child. Due to space, we are limiting the number of guests.
Have a great week,

Gratitude Pumpkin-
I wanted to share this idea with families. Every night in October and November, come together as a family and add a few things you are thankful for to your pumpkin. By Thanksgiving you will have a Gratitude Pumpkin! I can’t wait to start mine with my family.

Gifted and Talented Nominations:
Dear Families,
We recently administered the CogAT assessment to all 2nd graders at Lamar Elementary. This is a screener for the Gifted and Talented Program. We will receive scores at the end of November and inform parents of results.
For all other grade levels (K, 1, 3, 4), you can nominate your student for GT testing. GT nomination forms are due to the front office by December 17th. Testing will be done during the spring semester. If you have questions as to whether or not GT testing is appropriate for your child, please contact their teacher. Nomination forms can be picked up in the front office or online at: http://www.conroeisd.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Nomination-for-GT-Screening-ENGLISH-SPANISH-combined.pdf
You can also go to the CISD Gifted and Talented website for more information.
