Be part of research on teacher's Professional Learning
Be part of a research study into teachers' use of Cognitive Science learning strategies
We are incredibly lucky to be working with Dr Carolina Kuepper-Tetzel from the University of Dundee to support teachers to use effective learning strategies supported by Cognitive Science. Now the project itself is the subject of a research study...……. and we need your help!
Please read the request from the researchers below:
"We invite you to participate in a research study being conducted by investigators from the University of Dundee in collaboration with the Welten-Institute of the Open University of the Netherlands.
The purpose of the study is to investigate teachers’ perception and knowledge of various teaching strategies from Cognitive Psychology. We would like to know which strategies you are already using in your practice, which strategies you suggest to your pupils to use, and your general knowledge of different strategies.
The goal of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of CPD or Inset workshops offered to teachers in order to tailor these better to teachers’ needs in the future. Ultimately, the goal is to provide teachers with better training and motivate them to implement evidence-based learning strategies in their practice. The survey will take approximately 30 minutes to fill out and will be open for participation until 18 Oct 2019 at 10pm.
We appreciate your time and thank you for contributing to this research study. Carolina Kuepper-Tetzel and Tim Surma."
How to get involved
If you are happy to complete the survey please email us at enquiries@impact.wales and we will send you the link. We need at least 24 current teachers to complete the survey by October 18th.
You will then be part of ground-breaking research into the professional learning of teachers!! So, thank you.
