Library Books
We still have many library books that need to be returned. Please take a look around your house, in your backpack, etc. to see if you still have a VFES library book.
The office will be open from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26th through Friday, May 29th, so you are welcome to return books during any of those days/times.
On a related note, several of you have been receiving overdue notices even though you recently returned your books. Please temporarily disregard those notices in order to allow us time to check in all of the books that have been returned.
iPad and Packet Return Plan
If you haven't already returned your iPad and/or final packet of work, please make sure to bring them to the Vienna-Finley office as soon as possible. We are open from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26th through Friday, May 29th.
Continuous Learning Grades
Scott 2 students in grades K-8 will be graded on a pass/fail basis for the last quarter of the school year. Teachers will enter a weekly score for each subject area from their continuous learning work. Students will earn a 10, 8, 6, or 0 based on the amount of engagement they demonstrate related to completing their assigned tasks each week.
Scores will be entered in Harmony each week for students who are completing work digitally.
Scores will be entered in Harmony the week after packets are released to the teachers following our periodic packet pick up/drop off for students who are completing work via paper/pencil.
Current Food Plan Continues Through June 5th
Meals are available every Monday through Friday (except Monday, May 25th, which is Memorial Day) from 11:00 a.m. until noon at each of the six Scott 2 schools. Food is also available from 11:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at 13 remote sites throughout the county. A map is located on the Scott 2 website as well as the Vienna-Finley Facebook page.

Summer Safety Video
The Scott 2 elementary guidance counselors created this
video, which addresses various aspects of summer safety.
Walk-a-Thon
The VFES Walk-a-thon has been postponed until a later date.
If you have collected money for the Walk-a-thon, you can hold it until registration dates prior to the 2020-2021 school year. PTO representatives will have a table at registration and will be available to collect the money at that time.
PTO officers are in contact with the online donation company to get those funds rolled over to the new Walk-a-thon date.
School Messenger Text Messages
Our school utilizes the SchoolMessenger system to deliver text messages, straight to your mobile phone with important information about events, school closings, safety alerts and more.
You can participate in this service just by sending a text message of “Y” or “Yes” to our school’s short code number, 67587.
You can also opt out of these messages at any time by simply replying to one of our messages with “Stop”.
