Words of Wisdom Feature: Adonna
This month we are featuring Adonna and her organization skills! Adonna is in 10th grade and uses a bullet journal system to organize her life and her school work. The bullet journal system is a personalized planner/journal/catch-all that many people use to keep track of everything in their lives. All you need is a blank notebook and a pen! Check out her tips and wisdom below:
How would you define what a bullet journal is?
"I would define a bullet journal as a creative and relaxing way to keep track of lists and everyday routines and habits and basically anything you have a hard time remembering but need to know or use at some point."
How long have you been using a bullet journal?
"I started using a bullet journal late february/early march so really not that long but it's still made such an impact on my life."
How do you use your bullet journal to stay on top of your school work?
"How I use my bullet journal for school is I keep a schedule of what time and days each of my classes and club meetings are on. I also have a list of all my assignments for my classes and when they're due, when I turned them in and what grade i got on it."
Where do you get inspiration for your bullet journal?
"I first got inspired to make one from my stepsister and her best friend. Since then I've been using pinterest to find most of my ideas for pages but I also sometimes am just doing random things and then I'll have a light bulb moment and realize a perfect page for me to create."
What types of layouts do you use?
"I use all sorts, I use a lot of grids/graphs to keep track of everything I do in a day and how I'm feeling and how my mental disorders affected me that day. I also use my bullet journal to keep track of how many times my friends and I win games that we play regularly, movies we've been meaning to watch, what to do when I'm bored or anxious or depressed, people's zodiac signs, recipes, contacts, shopping lists, summer bucketlist, workouts, stretches, yoga, things that make me happy, etc. As you can see you can use a bullet journal for so many things and it's such a unique and fun way to get some creative juices flowing and keep things in order!"
