February News

Snow.. and more snow

Hope everyone had a safe and peaceful snow-in. I know many of you used this time to plan units, to examine standards, to communicate via social media with students about continued learning, and to catch-up on grading. Hopefully you were also able to enjoy your families and have some fun. The tentative date for the end of the year is June 8th for teachers.

New Teacher Induction Survey

Thanks to everyone who has completed the survey for New Teacher Induction. We consistently strive to reform and produce the best program for New Teachers. If you have not completed the survey, please take 2-3 minutes to complete. Click here.

Also, I will also be conducting a qualitative evaluation of the program through personalized feedback by focus group and email/pony. The focus group will be meeting online on February 17th at 4:00 P.M. for a 1/2 hour at your location (home or school) . A focus group is where I ask questions and simply listen to your answers. I will set-up a google classroom with your names and then type questions and ask you to answer them. This can also count as one hour toward your MSDE Evaluation class in lieu of attending a class or additional hours if needed. Click here to register.

The other way to send feedback is through email. As I was reading the ratings of some of the comments, I kept saying to myself, "If only I knew where this was occurring, I could either replicate this great practice or address this area of need." If you answered that that NTI significantly impacted you or did not impact you at all, I would love to know the reason. Please consider emailing me at or call me at (301) 766-8765.
