The CMS Choir Rocked the Holiday Concert!
Band Concert Reminders:
7th Grade Rehearsal: Tuesday, December 18th from 3:00-4:30 p.m.
Please pick up students near door # 1 at CMS at 4:30 p.m.
Concert Night: Wednesday, December 19th @ 7:00 p.m. at CMS auditorium
- Students should report at 6:15 p.m. to the band room for the concert.
- Student concert dress is Dark/black pants, performance polo, and dark/black shoes. (Polos need to be tucked in)
- Rehearsals and concerts nights are required as part of the grade for band.
Orchestra Concert Reminders
8th Grade Rehearsal: Tuesday, December 18 from 3:00-4:15 p.m.
Students should be picked up at door #1 at 4:15 pm on their respective rehearsal night.
Concert Night: Wednesday, Dec. 19 @ 7:00 p.m. at CMS Auditorium
- Students shoudl arrive at 6:40 p.m. and report to the orchestra room.
- Students should bring instrument and music from home
- Concert dress is black pants and music shirt (if you have not purchased a concert shirt, they are still available for $15 in the CMS book store)

Parent Volunteers Needed for PBIS Survivor Series Competitions
7th Grade Survivor Series: Thursday, December 20th from 1:15-2:40 p.m. (volunteers should arrive at 1:00 p.m. and bring driver's license for lobby guard)
8th Grade Survivor Series: Friday, December 21st from 1:15-2:40 p.m. (volunteers should arrive at 1:00 p.m. and bring driver's license fro lobby guard).

Fall Sports Update
The 7th grade boys basketball team went 1-1 last week. They defeated Franklin Township East by a score of 44-42 and lost to Westlane 42-19. Their record for the year is 8-4.
The 8th grade team defeated 4 teams (Westlane, Tindley, Franklin Township West, and Guion Creek) to win the Guion Creek Invitational. They also defeated Franklin Township East 29-20 and Westlane 70-27. Their record for the year is 13-2.
The boys basketball team will play at home next week on Tuesday and Wednesday against Raymond Park and Greenfield-Central. Games will start at 5:15 pm.
Wrestling practice had their 3rd week of practice this past week. They will continue to practice Monday through Thursdays until 5 pm before winter break. After winter break, practices will be everyday after school until 5 pm. If you are planning on participating in wrestling, you must start practicing at some point before winter break. Please email Coach Andy St. Laurent (dstlaur2@warren.k12.in.us) if you have any questions.
There will be a callout meeting for anyone interesting in swimming on December 18 at Warren Central High School. Please click the swimming link below for info about that meeting.
Track pre-season conditioning will continue on Tuesdays every week after winter break. It will be after school until 4:30 pm. Athletes staying for conditioning will be expected to ride the activity bus home on those nights. You must have a physical on file with Mr. Treesh if you are planning to stay for conditioning. Questions may be directed to Mr. Treesh, Athletic Director, or Mr. Peckham, track coach.

How important is attendance for student success?
We do understand that there are situations that arise where an absence can't be prevented. Please help communicate those reasons to the school by calling the main line at 532-6800 between 6:00-7:00 a.m. to report the absence.
Excused Absences Include:
1. Personal illness or injury (please drop off physician's notes to front desk)
2. Death in the immediate family
3. Attendance at a family funeral
4. Religious observances required by church officials
5. Serving as a page in the legislature
6. Court appearance/court detention
7. Working at polls
