Mentally Sane Treated Like Dirt.

There is nasty conditions and poor treatment towards the mentally sane.
The nurses are the main reason why the mentally sane are treated like dirt. The mentally sane were "choked, beat, and harassed" by the nurses. Meaning that if they did something that they couldn't control, there would be a harsh punishment. A girl named Nellie Bly faked that she was mentally sane and got an inside look of the New York City Mental Institution. The nurses "I think I experienced the sensation of a drowning person as they dragged me, gasping, shivering, and quaking, from the tub. For once I did look insane.", She writes in her expose called "Ten Days In A Madhouse". That wasn't the worse of it. The was "rancid food, dirty linens, no warm clothing, and ice cold baths that were like a precursor to water boarding." The "same towels were used on all women" and there was the "same bath water until water was really thick, and then it is allowed to run out and the tub is refilled without being washed." The mentally sane were in nasty conditions and were treated very poorly.
Where are they now?
The problem was solved. They increased the budget of nurses and food services and sanitary conditions improved.
