Job Description
A typical day for an art teacher includes planning lessons instructing them to the class while making sure everyone understands. The teacher must pay special attention to any students who have special needs. The teacher has to order enough materials for all of her classes as well as making sure the materials are being used properly.
The responsibilities of an art teacher include -
- Planning and constructing lesson plans that go along with the project
- Explaining to students the task at hand
- Ordering the correct amounts of supplies for the art projects
- Grading artwork
Working Conditions -
- An Art teacher spends most of the day on their feet helping students and giving demonstrations.
- An art teachers hours depend on where they are teaching but could be 7 hours 5 days a week.
- They work with the students and other teacher
Training/ Education Requirements -
- Public schools require their art teachers to have at least a bachelor's degree, licensure and experience.
- Four years of education
