Friday Notes

October 9, 2020

We are one month in!

We have successfully completed one full month of in-person learning! While in years' past, this would not be a mentionable accomplishment, it is this year! Thank you for your flexibility, kindness, and patience as we have navigated these first few weeks. We would not be where we are today without your full cooperation. Keep up the good work and remember: wash your hands often, practice physical distancing, wear your mask, and stay home if you're not feeling well.

Thank you, First Grade Families!

We wish to extend our most sincere appreciation to our first grade families! Led by the extraordinary Porter and Amy Thorndike, these first grade parents donated the funds we needed to purchase extra desks for Mrs. S's classroom! BJAMS FAMILIES ROCK!

Last Call for the Trunk-or-Treat Survey!

Please complete the Trunk-or-Treat Survey (click: here) by this Sunday, October 11, so we can select dates and times!

Hannaford Helps Schools Program PAYOUT!

Thanks to your participation in the HHS program this past spring, you raised over $700 for BJAMS!

BJAMS Paperwork Bin

Do you have paperwork that you need to drop off at school but don't know where to put it? We have a new bin located by the main entrance doors!

Back by popular demand, but for a very limited time!

The BJAMS online apparel store is reopening from Monday, Oct. 12 - Friday, Oct. 16 - ONLY!

For those that missed the store, forgot to order, or needed a new size, well now is your (LAST) chance! The store won't open again until 2021, so MAKE IT COUNT. Remember that a BJAMS sweatshirt, or a long or short sleeve tee* make a great gift at Christmas!

Click here to go to the apparel store.

*T-shirts from the apparel store ARE NOT part of the uniform; sweatshirts ARE part of the uniform.

School Mass and Holy Communion

We are very excited to begin offering the Sacrament of Holy Communion during our school Mass on Wednesdays. While we are still live streaming Mass into classrooms, we will be administering Holy Communion to students who have made their First Communion (grades 3 and up). Students and staff will only receive Holy Communion in their hands. If as a family you are not comfortable with your student receiving Holy Communion, please talk with your child and ask him/her not to line up when it's time for Holy Communion.

Holiday Wreath Fundraiser info

We will be placing this bulk order early this year so we can ensure to have our wreaths prior to the Thanksgiving Holiday. Remember the deadline is Oct. 22

Checks should be written out to Bishop Marshall PTO.
