As we enter these winter months, our houses and schools become very dry environments, making adequate hydration so important for us! Having enough water on hand often prevents headaches and stomachaches, ensuring students do not miss valuable class time with nurse visits for these complaints. Please assist us by sending a water bottle with your child to school. Students do sometimes misplace these, so labelling with name or initials can often help us get them back to their owner!
Thanks for all you do in helping us keep your student safe and healthy! Please email or call with questions or concerns that I might help with. My hours are 8:45 to 4:15 each school day.
Have a great Thanksgiving!

THANK YOU !
Huge shout out to our Knik families and community!!!
The Knik Fall Book Fair was a huge success. Thank you for supporting our students and school. We will be able to purchase new books and materials for the library this year. I also want to thank those that volunteered helping to set up, work the fair, and pack it up at the end. You were amazing!
BAKE A BOOK CAKE CONTEST
Bake/Decorate your favorite books as a cake! These cakes will be displayed it the library with voting and prizes! You can pick up an Entry Slip in the library in December.
December 14th-15th. Entries are due NO LATER than the morning of Dec. 15th.
BATTLE OF THE BOOKS
November is here and if you missed turning in your Battle of the Books Permission slip, it is not too late to join us each week for fun and competition as we get ready for the tournament in February. Drop by the library for more information or to pick up a slip.
Just a reminder that students have been issued their computers through 7th grade along with chargers, and that they need to make sure they are handled safely so that they last. They need to be charged at home every night and brought back to school for use each day. If there is a problem with the computer, please have your child bring it to the library and report the problem. This includes the chargers that need to be handled carefully when plugging in and unplugging. Do not pull the cord itself but insert and pull out from the hard plug at the end of the cord. This will ensure that it charges correctly and will save you $35 for replacement. Thanks and have a great November filled with thankfulness!

Recess Updates - FAB 5
Well... Knik Families,
Winter has finally arrived and looks like it is here to stay for awhile.
The playground and field are now officially covered in snow and recess is so much more fun when our little Kings stay warm and dry.
We will be going outside for recess each day when it is warmer than -10 degrees.
If you need assistance with cold weather gear, please let us know and we will be happy to help you connect with available resources. Please contact the front office or Nurse Holly.
All of your child’s belongings should be labeled with their first and last name. If your child wears snow boots to school they will also need a pair of shoes to wear inside the building.
