Week of September 5, 2017
A Note from Mrs. Bratcher
I am so excited about starting a brand new school year! 2017-2018 is going to be awesome! August is my favorite time of year. It is a time to make new friends, meet your new teacher, and put your best foot forward learning new things. I can't wait to see everyone on August 28, 2017 bright and early! School begins at 7:50.
I am the luckiest person in Weatherford ISD. I am blessed to serve as the Lead Learner at Curtis Elementary. Every day I am amazed at the learning taking place at Curtis Elementary. Our Curtis Roo Star teachers are the best! They work to provide meaningful, rich experiences for students each day. Students are approaching learning in different ways at Curtis.
We strive to do school differently at Curtis to meet the individual needs of students. We have several classrooms using Google Classroom to guide students in learning. Students have more voice and choice in learning than ever before. I am so proud of our risk takers at Curtis - both teachers and students!
There are so many exciting things happening at Curtis Elementary! We strive to learn and grow with our students, staff, community partners and parents! We take pride in our partnerships with the Weatherford community and our parents. We appreciate all of our volunteers at Curtis! STAR Mentors and Curtis volunteers help to make Curtis a "World-Class" school!
