THIS SUNDAY - TLS 3K - 8th GRADES SING AT TRINITY @ 8:15 & 10:45 AM

This Sunday is TLS Sunday! All TLS Grades will be singing at the 8:15 AM AND 10:45 AM services. In between services, enjoy light refreshments and TLS information and classroom displays in the gym. This would be a great weekend to invite family, friends, and acquaintances to check out our church and school!

TEACHER CALL UPDATES - CALL MEETING ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 13TH

At the Call Meeting on Sunday, March 3rd, the Voters decided NOT to call anyone and ask for a new list. There will be a meeting TONIGHT Wednesday, March 13th after the 6:30 p.m. Lent Service in the Fellowship Hall to call a teacher for 5th Grade Homeroom and Upper Grade Music, and a teacher for 7th Grade Homeroom and Athletic Director.

Forms were sent home with students and are available in the rack outside the school office. The cost of each Yearbook is $10. You may pay by cash or by check payable to TLS.


The cut-off date is FIRM!


All Yearbook orders will need to be in the TLS office by 4 p.m. on Friday, March 15th


There will be NO Yearbook orders accepted after the cut off date on the paper form.


If you bring in an order after 4 p.m. on March 15th, it will be returned to you. DO NOT count on extra yearbooks being available at the end of the year (because we cannot expect there will be any).


If you want a yearbook, this is the time to order one so you will not be disappointed later.

PIANO FESTIVAL RESULTS

TLS GOES TO LPS - WINS 2ND PLACE!

This past Friday/Saturday, a Trinity team of 21 TLS students from 7th & 8th grade (along with their parents) toured the campus of Luther Prep School in Watertown, played in a basketball recruitment tournament with 40+ teams from across the country, won a 2nd place trophy in the toughest division, ate in the cafeteria (consumed how much ice cream?), saw the excellent musical: “Guys & Dolls”, and had a fun time.


Special thanks to players: Daniel, Myra, Grant, Karlie, Briana, Mikayla, Lucy, Aaron, Adam, Zach, Brady, Michael, Max, Noah, Jackson, Josiah, Bryten; our superfans: Lily, Owen, Mady, Lydia, along with all our chaperones & coaches: Pastor Oelhafen, Seth Zoellner, Sam Woods, and Tony Widish.

LP 2019 PINE CAR DERBY RESULTS

Congratulations to all Speed Car Builders, race winners:

Colton M.-1st Place, Paxton C.-2nd Place, Parker C.-3rd Place, Emmitt M.-4th Place, Jonathan O.-5th Place, Eliott B.-6th Place, and to all 14 speed car builders! It was great fun to see your cars race down the track with amazing speed and very close results! Well done!

IMPORTANT - Before and After School Policy

ALL TLS Families signed a Handbook Agreement.at the beginning of the school year. Adult supervision of every student protects everyone. IF your student arrives prior to 8:15 a.m. they are Extended Care (whether they are in the gym or not) and time will be recorded and charged to you (even if you choose not to enter the building with them). Students may not "linger" in the hallways or entry ways. Questions can be directed to Mr. Gut.

SCHOOL HOURS


School office hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (Monday - Friday)


Kindergarten through Grade 8: 8:25 AM-3:35 PM (Now 3:40 PM to make up weather days)

Pre-Kindergarten: 8:25 AM-11:30 AM and 12:30 PM-3:35 PM


School doors open at 8:15 AM. All children are to go directly to their respective classrooms. All children arriving before 8:15 AM or staying after 3:45 PM will be sent to the Extended Hours Program (EHP).


EXTENDED HOURS PROGRAM (262) 547-8522


This program provides adult supervision for all children arriving between 7:00- 8:15 AM and staying after 3:45 PM. Adult supervision of all children on our campus meets the liability needs of our insurance carrier. The school’s cell phone policy (see below) also applies while the children are in the Extended Care Program (EHP). Parents are billed in quarter hour increments. All children must be picked up by 6:00 PM. Additional fees will be applied if children are not picked up by 6:00 PM.

$144.00

$144.00 is the amount needed in your student's lunch account to take hot lunch each day for the rest of the year ( March 14th - May 22nd and does not include extra portions, any current negative balance, or any field trips). Do you know what your student's lunch balance is? Check it out via PowerSchool. Get a check or cash into the school office soon.


Reminder - The Board of Education adopted a policy that when a student’s lunch account becomes negative $20, that student will not be allowed to select the #1 entrée for lunch. However #2, PBJ, and #3, Salad Bar, will still be lunch options for the student.


The staff salaries and food expenses are paid for solely by the funds collected for lunch. Any amounts in your student's lunch accounts that do not get used this year, will roll over into the next school year. You can monitor you students lunch balance and receive email alerts at a threshold of your choosing via Power School. Thank you for keeping positive balances in your student's lunch account!

TLS TRACK MEET - SATURDAY, MAY 4TH

The Trinity Track Meet will be held at Wisconsin Lutheran College's Raabe Stadium on Saturday, May 4th. Our students in Grades 5-8 will be competing against other area WELS Grade School students in a variety of Track & Field Events. Watch for a link to volunteer to help make this day a success!

MISSION OFFERINGS Semester Two

Mission offerings can be brought to chapel each Wednesday. During the 2nd semester, offerings will be given to the Lutheran Military Support Group.

Mission money collected for the second semester so far totals $460.34.

4th and 6th Grade Make a Splash!--Wisconsin Lutheran High School invites both 4th and 6th grade students to a fun evening of waterslides and swimming at Springs Waterpark Hotel in Pewaukee, on Monday, March 18. The pool is open from 4:30-8:00 p.m. with a parent welcome at 5:45 p.m. There is no cost, however at least one parent must attend with their child. RSVP by going to www.wlhs.org/splash.


2019 WELS National Band Festival--Wisconsin Lutheran High School is honored to host the bi-annual WELS National Band Festival. This year, the 105-member ensemble is comprised from twenty WELS Lutheran High Schools around the country. On Sunday, March 17, at 2:00 p.m. a festival concert, free and open to the public, will be performed at the high school. Doors open at 1:30 p.m.


WELS National Band Fest Hosts Needed—Wisconsin Lutheran High School is excited to host the 2019 WELS National Band Fest on Friday, March 15 through Sunday, March 17. As the festival host school, the high school needs to provide housing for about 100 students and directors. If you are interested in hosting you will need to: provide transportation to and from the festival each day, living accommodations for two or more students, and breakfasts or snacks.
