FOURTH GRADE CHORUS
Dear Parents and fourth graders,
We are very excited to announce that there is a Fourth Grade Chorus at JBD again this year. Any fourth grader that loves to sing and that would like to join our chorus is WELCOME. There is no audition. Rehearsals are after school, in the music room, until 3:45, on Wednesday afternoons.
The chorus will meet each Wednesday between October 18 and December 20. Rehearsals are from school dismissal until 3:45. Parents will need to provide transportation home after rehearsals. There will be no bus service. All students will be expected to use their best manners, and make their best efforts during rehearsals.
We will announce our concert date as soon as possible. Singers will learn December holiday songs. These songs include Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and La Fiesta de las Posadas.
Students can pick up the Chorus form from me:

SEAGULL CIRCLE FUND
Dear Friend of John B. Dey Elementary,
It is the start of a new school year at John B. Dey Elementary and the PTA is gearing up foranother great year!
The John B. Dey PTA, like any charitable organization, depends on fundraising to provide
meaningful learning experiences, gifts of technology, assemblies and other powerful and
enriching student opportunities through out the school year. You can see our impact in the list below. Our Seagull Circle Fund was a huge success in the 2016-2017 school year and it allowed us to provide the same benefits to our students without all the added pushes forwrapping paper, candy, candle and coupon book sales. So, let’s try to do it again! We need local families and businesses to participate!
WHAT DOES THE THE JBD PTA DO?
* Boosterthon Fun Run * After School Enrichment Programs *School Skating Parties
* Teacher Appreciation* Destination Imagination * Moving On Ceremony/Beach Bash
* Reflections Art Contest *Schoolwide Assemblies *Silver Graphics * Military Appreciation
* S.T.E.A.M Day * Fitness Club * School Supply Pre-orders * Bingo Night *E-Directory
*Spirit Wear *Gull Gift shop *Movie Nights * Grade Level Playdates *Community Service
* School gifts towards technology, music, PE, art and library
* Scholarships for prior JBD students & faculty and more!
With our school under major construction this year, you will see a few changes to our events and programs. It is our goal to continue to provide fun, quality events and programs to our students. One new event this year will be the Boosterthon Fun Run in the Spring. Each student will recive a customized Boosterthon Fun Run t-shirt with our school logo on the front. By sponsoring our Seagull Circle Fund at a Platinum level, your business logo or family name will be displayed on the back of 800+ student’s t-shirts!
Join the Seagull Circle! Any donation is appreciated and your family or business name will be on the banner in the foyer of the school recognizing your sponsorship. This is a direct donation to the PTA and has maximum impact! That’s it! Help make John B. Dey the best elementary school in the beach!
Please return your form by October 20, 2017. Extra sponsorship forms, including payment information and a sponsor benefits package are in the Main foyer turnstile.
Thank you in advance for your support of the John B. Dey Elementary PTA!
Sincerely,
