Research Tips
Searching Google Effectively
Using Collections
What it does:
A feature that allows you to create a folder (or collection), which you can save websites and pages to online. Then you can either Open all or Send all to your Word, OneNote, etc.
Example:
If you are doing an assessment in your Year 8 English class on Frankenstein, you can create a 'collection' and save websites to this space.
Why you should use it:
It is like a basket for your searches, and can easily transfer (send) to your notes pages on your OneNote (or Word).
Important notes:
1, It is important to manage the Collections similar to the way you clean up your email inbox. Remove collections that you no longer need.
2 Name the collections clearly i.e. Year 8 English Term 2 OR 2022 Year 8 English - Frankenstein, etc. (By clicking on the three dots in top right corner (...) you can sort the list by title rather than when created).
Research Guides
📑 Research Guides have helpful resources, information, research and referencing tips as you complete your subject assessments and units of study.
