We are working on our spring concert music. Students will prepare some pop/movie tunes. In addition, our seniors will present their annual senior song and walk!

Students who have missing assignments have until May 13, 2022 to submit work. No missing work will be taken after this date. All missing work can be submitted for full credit.

All students will be photographed for the orchestra composite. Students need to bring their uniform.

The DHS Broadcast Production Studio is putting together the first-annual end-of-the-year awards show for students called the Wiley Awards. As this awards show will be structured similar to Oscars, we are interested in having a variety of performances. We are looking for soloists, duets, dances, skits, monologues, or other performances that work with the show’s theme, “Old Hollywood”.

The Wiley Awards will be at 6pm on May 19th in the Theater. Performers will have free entry to the show, and tickets will be available if any friends or family that would like to attend. We ask that performers also be available for a brief rehearsal from 2-4pm on May 16th to prepare.

We know how many talented students are in our DHS performing arts programs and would greatly appreciate their support.

Our chamber orchestra performed for the Georgia Music Educators Association state conference at the end of January. This was tremendous honor for our program and students. Our chamber orchestra was selected to perform through a competitive audition process against other orchestra from around the state of Georgia.
