Arrival
Drop off: Please pull up in the drop off line to let your student out safely. We ask that the first five cars let students out then proceed to drive out. We ask that the second lane be not used to pass cars. This creates confusion and unsafe conditions at arrival.
Thank you.

"Together - Make a Difference" Awards
"Together - We Make A Difference" Awards will be given each week to recipients who have been nominated because they have done something or given time to make a difference at McBride. Please email Mrs. Tyler your nominations (lisat@sthelens.k12.or.us).
Lisa Miller (ILC staff) Every afternoon after the school buses depart, Mrs. Miller scans the playground for coats, hats, and lunchboxes that have been left on the playground. She then brings all those items inside to be claimed at our Lost and Found. Thank you, Mrs. Miller!
Christine Meyers and Macie Moseley (3rd Graders) These two young ladies can be counted on to help a second grade student, who sometimes becomes "stuck", during the school day. They talk softly to the student and use their words to help that student become unstuck, so that problem solving can occur. We appreciate the compassion these two girls demonstrate for a fellow Mustang.
Dawn Goodwin (5th Grader) Dawn stepped up to help a classmate who was having a difficult time. She was a McBride Truth Teller whose honesty helped the situation.
Brandi Musch (McBride Parent) Ms. Musch works tirelessly for teachers! She is seen doing many different tasks for teachers! We're thrilled to have her volunteering at McBride! Thank you, Brandi for all you do for our Mustangs!
Genie O'Donnell (Produce Mgr. at Safeway) Genie donated 40 lbs of potatoes for the staff potato bar we were having. This is a huge donation that honored our staff! Thank you!
Owen McCartney (5th Grade Teacher) Mr. McCartney has been a great sounding board this week for colleague and helped talk through some things which helped put things in perspective. Thank you, Mr. McCartney for being a friendly face to all.
Becky Franz (Wellness Room Director) Mrs. Franz has been away from McBride for a couple weeks as she prepares to open the Wellness Room at McBride. Mrs. Franz has continued to support students even while out of the building and at trainings. The past two weeks Mrs. Franz has sent notes of encouragement to a student who has struggled not seeing her daily. The notes have helped the student understand that Mrs. Franz has not forgot about her. Mrs. Franz continues to Make a Difference even while out of the building.
Pod B staff (Ms. Harkins, Miss Mary, Mrs. Griffin, Miss Quick, Mrs. Kreafle, Miss Kotler and Mr. Peterson) Pod B team worked together while a classroom was without a substitute at arrival!
Angie Oehlert (McBride Parent) Mrs. Oehlert has been an amazing Mercantile volunteer every Friday. When she is unable to attend a Friday, she works to arrange a sub for herself. Thank you for all that you do, Angie!
Angela Lawrence (McBride Parent) Angela is a regular third grade parent helper at McBride, but also willingly agreed to assist with our McBride Mercantile. We feel fortunate to have Ms. Lawrence supporting our Mustangs.
Mary Beatley (PLC staff) Mrs. Beatley deserves a big thank you for stocking the staff refrigerator with a plethora of sodas. Teachers sometimes need a soda to help make it through the school week. Mrs. Beatley made many teachers grin this week, when they saw the variety of sodas that were available for purchase. Thank you, Mrs. Beatley!
