Greetings!

It is great to see our students back from Spring Break. The break is instrumental for our students and teachers to recharge before we head into the testing season. As we begin our testing, I want you to know that while these assessments are extremely important in gauging where we are at as a school and guiding our instructional practices, tests are not the end all be all. The most important aspect we stress with our students is the effort they give. If you can help us send this message, we would really appreciate it.

The next couple months are filled with many joyous and celebratory events. Our seniors are less than a month and a half from moving on to the next chapter in their lives and we could not be more proud of them. You can access the school district calendar here. I encourage your student(s) to take full advantage of the events planned and take part in them.

We are currently in the process of preparing for the 2022-23 school year. As you make plans for your family in the coming year, please use this calendar as reference. Also, feel free to reach out to your student's counselor if you have any scheduling questions or concerns for next year.

As always, please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Mr. Ackerman

Art Program Awarded $500

The Richmond Masonic Lodge announced that Armada High School's art department, directed by Micki Cecil, is being awarded a $500 educational grant toward her computer graphics project. The grant was made possible through the Michigan Masonic Charitable Foundation.

The Richmond Lodge is home to the former lodges from both Armada and Memphis who merged with Richmond over time. Richmond Lodge has been in existence for 160 plus years.

Mrs. Cecil is excited to use the funds to purchase items for the new graphics class beginning next school year.
