4th Grade Happenings: Week 12

Reagan Elementary - Leander Independent School District

Week of November 10, 2014

WELCOME TO THE 4TH GRADE!

We believe that one of the biggest indicators of a child's success in school is the communication flow between school and home. To that end, the 4th grade will be communicating what's happening around our hood on a weekly basis. We'll highlight the current week's activities, what's coming up on the horizon, homework expectations, and any other additional information that you may find helpful as 4th grade parents. We know your time is valuable and your email boxes overflowing, but please take a moment to read our memo each week. We're trying a new format this year that we hope will communicate more information in a more concise manner. Questions and/or comments? Please let us know!

Our Best,

Karen & Stephanie

REAGAN PAJAMA DAY!

WEAR A PAIR! SHARE A PAIR!

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 7TH - THURSDAY, DECEMBER 11TH

It’s time for the GREAT BEDTIME STORY PAJAMA DRIVE!

We are kicking off our drive on Friday, November 7th by having a Reagan Pajama Day! We’re calling it “Wear a Pair, Share a Pair”, as we continue to support our Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive!

  • Wear pajamas to school on Friday, November 7th (remember they should be school appropriate and you must also wear shoes)
  • Bring a donation for our Pajama Drive. Remember:
  • We need new pajamas
  • Sizes infant to adult (think of teens!)
  • Drop your donations in the tub outside the QUEST room
  • Collecting until Thursday, December 11th.
  • Remember, Scholastic Books donates a new book for each pair of pajamas we collect. Cool!!!!
  • Our Reagan goal is to collect 475 pairs.

Thank you for showing care and concern for needy children!

Lunch Dates

We love that you as parents often come to eat lunch with your child. Unfortunately, due to campus policy and the fact that we share our lunch time and space with 5th grade, we are unable to allow you to eat in the cafeteria at the tables with your child. However, the conference room immediately across the hall is available for you to enjoy lunch together. If you do plan on having a lunch date with your child, please let a teacher on duty know that you will be taking them to the room across the hall. All students must be finished with lunch by 1:05 so we may head back for an afternoon of learning.

Thanks much for understanding!

Have a great week! Our best ~

Karen & Stephanie
