A Message from Principal Norris-Buck

Dear Royal Families,

We are excited to welcome back our in-person students on Tuesday! If your child will be joining us in person, please complete this In Person Learning Commitment by January 11th. This form only needs to be completed once and has spaces for you to list multiple children if you have more than one at Quist. If your child will continue to learn remotely, you do not need to complete the form.

Now that we will be back in person, students who attend in person will be able to order food to take home with them for the week on their first day of in person learning. The meals for our students who are fully remote can still use the virtual link to order food, but the pick up locations will change back to Brighton High School and Prairie View High School.

Please see the Cohort Line up map below as a reminder on where to line up in the morning for in-person learning beginning Tuesday, January 12th.

Quist In-Person Learning Commitment Form

As a district we are committed to the health and well-being of the students entrusted to our care. As we have evolved our systems during this time of pandemic, we have been asking parents to mold and change with us. As we remain committed to your students health, we are asking that you partner with us. If your student is returning to our hybrid/in person learning model, we are asking for you to complete this form of commitment, letting us know that you will monitor your child's health before they are sent to school. Please complete this form by Monday, January 11th. Thank you for working diligently with us.

Superintendent Attendance Policy

We have had an increase in students leaving early from remote classes. It is very important that students stay for the entire class just as they would if they were in class at the school. Below is the district attendance policy regarding tardies, early departures, and partial absences. If a student needs to leave a remote class early for an appointment etc., a parent/guardian will need to call the front office at 303-655-6950.

Tardies, Early Departures and Partial Absences

6.1 Leaving class without permission will result in a partial absence being recorded.

6.2 Tardies, early departures and partial absences will be determined to be excused or unexcused based on the same criteria as all other absences.

6.3 Tardy is defined as a student’s arrival within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time for the class.

6.4 Early departure is defined as a student’s departure from class within the last 10 minutes of the class.

6.5 Partial absence is defined as a student arriving 10 or more minutes late to class, or leaving 10 or more minutes before the end of class.
