Bronco Chronicles
Volume 39, January 16th - January 31st
Lead Learner's Message
Goooooood morning #BroncoStrong faculty and staff!
I hope yesterday provided the time your PLC needed to get your Plans for Learning complete, and gave you a much needed opportunity to collaborate around what we expect our kids to learn, know and do!
The next couple of weeks will be super busy, so please make sure to read through this volume within 48 hours and let me know if you have any questions. Please be prepared for the upcoming LOCKDOWN and fire drills. Also, this month is School Board Appreciation Month, so please reach out to our board members and thank them for all they do for our school district and community. Luckily, our Teen Leadership and Careers classes have prepared something to show them how appreciative we are of their dedication and service.
Please remember to return your decorated one word rocks to me by 1/19, and I will get them back to you the following week. I hope you make this Tuesday the BEST Tuesday of the week! Thanks so much for all you do and don't forget, our mindsets shape our behavior when it comes to learning. #Growthmindset

Favorite Learning Experience in School and Why: In high school, my speech/debate/drama teacher took a group of girls to a dinner with, then, First Lady Barbara Bush in San Antonio. I honestly don’t remember what she spoke about, but it was my first experience with a full, five-course dinner. That trip included a lot of firsts for me, being from a very poor family. That teacher, Mrs. Avant, was the source of many outings for me. Don’t discount those electives teachers!! The core stuff is important, but electives give our students balance and opportunities that they may otherwise not get to experience.
