Cardinal Courier: February 5th
Where Learning Takes Flight
A Note from Mrs. Tallent
We hope everyone stayed safe and warm yesterday!
Since we were not able to have Friendship Parties yesterday, we will be providing an opportunity for students to have their Friendship Parties on Monday, Feb. 14th with their classmates. Due to things already planned for this day, we are not able to spread parties out throughout the day to allow for visitors. All parties will happen in classrooms from 1:30-2:30 with students only. We appreciate your understanding as we try to provide an opportunity for students to get to experience their parties rather than cancelling them altogether.
Please remember that next week (Feb. 7th-11th) is our February Break so there is no school and the campus will be closed. When we return from our break, we will be celebrating Friendship Week and students will be learning how to be a good friend. We would love to have students join us for dress up days all week to go along with the theme for the day (information below).
Our PTO Spring Fundraiser, "Lights, Camera, Auction", is coming up in February! Their fundraising efforts will be focused on purchasing more Newlines...putting us closer and closer to reaching our goal of having one in EVERY grade level classroom! Check out how students are already using the Newlines by following us on twitter @humbleisd_fce!

From Our Counselor
Personalized Counseling Message
Families,
In Humble ISD, we believe in a personalized approach to counseling. Each elementary student will receive one individual meeting each year with me. In these meetings, the students will have the opportunity to discuss their goals and aspirations, and discuss the options for their personal path in Humble ISD. Additionally, I will be working with students and teachers in the classroom to provide additional avenues for student success. This partnership is designed to give Humble ISD students a unique approach to meeting their personal goals, career pathways, and setting them up for success. Some of the topics that will be discussed with your student will focus on academic goals and other topics will address social and emotional well being. Thus far I have met with all 3rd grade students and am almost done with 5th grade. The next grade levels I will focus on will be 2nd and 4th.

Fall Creek Elementary PTO Spring Fundraiser
Saturday, February 26, 2022
7:00 – 11:00pm
at the Golf Club of Houston
The PTO is looking forward to hosting our adult-only fundraiser again this year to benefit the students, teachers and staff of Fall Creek Elementary. This is the 12th year that we’ve been able to put on this fun in-person event. When it was held last, in 2020, our Spring Fundraiser raised $40K to spend on technology, indoor and outdoor improvements, cultural performances, special events for both students and teachers, and so much more.
One of our specific goals for this year is to help equip all of our classrooms with Interactive Smartboards. These Smartboards are classroom devices that allow students to interact with the learning material. These support brainstorming, visuals and note taking in a student driven classroom. We will also be looking to enhance the outdoor areas of FCE once construction on the multi-purpose building is finished and continue to provide the school with funding for technology programs and cultural arts performances.
What is this Event and How can you participate?
The Spring Fundraiser is an adult-only evening filled with fun, music, great food, beverages and a silent and live auction to help us raise funds for FCE. It’s right in our neighborhood at The Golf Club of Houston and the attire is casual to cocktail. We hope to see many of you there for this fun evening that benefits our school and kids!
