Monroe Memo 7/6/2020
Mrs. Reingruber's Weekly Update
I hope you are staying safe and healthy at home during this unprecedented time. Everyone at Monroe is excited to hear all about your remote learning and summer adventures once school resumes this fall!
I am elated to be joining the Mustang family as the next principal of Monroe School. For the last 13 years, I have served as a dedicated partner who invested in the families and children of the District 117 community as an administrator and educational leader. I look forward to upholding Monroe School's motto of "Growing to Learn, Learning to Grow". Together, we will continue to provide learning opportunities that promote the development of responsible, respectful, and well-educated citizens who are equipped with the necessary tools to benefit our rapidly-evolving society. I welcome conversation, input, and feedback and am always available to either answer your questions or help point you in the right direction. Please do not hesitate to contact me, as I am a collaborative partner in your child's education.
Personally, my husband Mike and I live in Brookfield with our first grade son Tyler. We are a very active family and love being outdoors, as you can see from the photo below...
This school year, I will be sharing my "Monroe Memo" as a part of the PTO's digital update to further enhance communication and deepen our home-school partnership. The "Monroe Memo" will include important district and school information, educational articles, as well as photos and videos that illustrate what growth and learning looks like at Monroe School.
Please know that we are considering many factors as we move forward with continuing to provide a world-class education to the Monroe School community. As we plan for a safe return to in-person instruction, we recognize that school may look different than "normal" - and that is ok. We are confident in the abilities of our skillful and compassionate staff who will continue to meet our students where they are, prioritizing the health and safety of our students while maintaining a dynamic learning environment. We are proud to have various professionals available to provide academic, social, and emotional support to best meet the needs of our students as they transition back to school. As conversations continue and a plan is developed, District 181 will continue to keep our community informed via email. Please see the link below for more information about the development of our transition plan.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to plan for next school year and we thank you for all of the support you have given our staff and students during our remote learning journey. We hope the summer months bring your family the much needed rest and relaxation that you all deserve!
