EOG Testing

We will be taking the EOG in English Language Arts / Reading on Wednesday, May 25th and the EOG in Math on Thursday, May 26th. Please be sure students receive a good night's rest before these testing days.

Proctors Needed

Rowan-Salisbury Schools is in need of wonderful community members who will volunteer to serve as classroom “Proctors” during our upcoming test administration to students. Your time and willingness to help are invaluable to our district!

Dates: Testing will take place from May 25 – June 8, 2016

Book Donations

GQES is once again participating in The Give 5 Read 5 Program. It is our hope that all students be able to go home for the summer with 5 books to read. A flyer about this program was sent home in weekly communication folders last Thursday. Please consider participating! We know that many of our fourth graders have made great growth in reading this year, so many of the books they own might be too easy. May Achieve 3000 Reward

To meet this goal, students must complete all 5 components for each article and score 75% or higher on the 1st attempt of the activity component (a comprehension quiz designed to show the student's understanding of the text). As always, students are given time in class to meet their goal and are encouraged to work on Achieve 3000 at home as part of their reading homework. Please feel free to contact your child's teacher at any point this month to find out about your student's progress. We know that all of our students can meet this goal!

Ipad Turn In Day

All students will need to turn in their iPads, charging cords and charging blocks on June 3rd. iPads will be reissued to students at the beginning of the next school year.
