Greeting's Sechrist Community!

Welcome back Sechrist family! We have been busily getting ready for our 2022-2023 school year. Our office is currently open from 8:00am-3:30pm for any needs that you may have! Our first day of school will be on Wednesday, August 10th, it is a regular school day, dismissal at 3:20, including KG. Please place our annual open house onto your calendars, Wednesday, August 31st at 5:30p.m. At this time we are still having COVID-19 mitigation strategies at school to reduce the spread. However, we are having in person events at this present time. We are encouraging parent volunteers in the classroom, and participation in P.T.O. We will also strive to provide an online format for events such as plays, parent teacher conferences, and schoolwide events. Please call the school office if you have any further questions and we look forward to another spectacular year!

Technology Form Must Be Updated Each Year.

Please log onto you student's ParentVUE account and make any changes needed to insure communication from the school is not interrupted. Technology forms must be submitted each year, this is done through ParentVUE. If you enrolled online or updated your information for 2022-23 school year, you have already completed it.

If not completed, please do so, as not to interrupt your students ability to use technology devises.

PAY FOR IPAD PROTECTION PLAN FEE HERE

$25.00 annually for the iPad protection plan will cover repairs to damaged iPads. This does not cover lost iPads.

SCHOOL LUNCHES NO LONGER FREE FOR THE 2022-23 SCHOOL YEAR

As you are aware, schools have been able to offer breakfast and lunch at no charge to students during the 2021-2022 school year. This was made possible thanks to the generous support of the USDA reimbursing schools for meals served to students, regardless of income.

The School Breakfast Program (SBP) and the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) are federal programs. Due to changes at the federal level, we will no longer be able to offer school meals at no charge for all students during school year 2022-2023, as was the case for the 2021-2022 school year.

For the school year 2022-2023, we are requesting that families complete and submit the Free and Reduced-Price Household Application by September 1, 2022 if they believe their student(s) are eligible. Please click the link below to complete the application.

After School Tutoring

FACTS is now offering tutoring for elementary students through Zoom. The program allows parents to pick the days that they would like to attend and only pay for the session they sign up for. The cost is $5 per session. Each session will cap at 5 kids so they will get the attention they need. Groups are grade specific and subject specific. We have tutoring in Math and Reading/Writing for each elementary grade. Our plan is to continue this as long as we are doing remote learning.
