Letter from the Principal
Next week 2nd grade to 8th grade will be taking the IOWA Assessments.
Let's work together to make your child's experience a positive and successful one!
Here are some suggestions you can do to help everyday:
~ Attendance on TEST DAYS are important!
~ Ensure your child arrives at school on time.
~Have your child eat a healthy breakfast at home before coming to school.
~ Ensure your child gets a good night's sleep.
~ Wake up in in plenty of time so your child doesn't feel rushed.
~ Gently encourage your child to do their best!
~ Make up tests are difficult to schedule and often do not provide students with an optimal testing environment.
We have been working hard at school and can't wait to see how much your students have grown!
Have a great weekend and as always we thank you for sharing your student with us. We appreciate your trust, support, and partnership.

The St. Vincent DePaul Friends of the Poor Walk donation collection is officially underway! Each student has been challenged to bring in just $5.00, which would provide breakfast for a person in need from our community. All students have also been encouraged to do a "good deed" in order to earn that money! Donations should be sent in by 10/18. Last year, we raised nearly $2,500 for Cosgrove's Kitchen!! Additionally, if you'd like to order a Walk t-shirt to be worn on the day of the Walk, please send in that portion of the Walk form by 9/28. There are additional t-shirt order forms/Walk donation forms in the office. If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Duncan at email@example.com. Thank you for your support!
PRINCIPAL FOR THE DAY
When interviewed Principal Gus said, "Yeah, I would be principal again. It's hard to choose my favorite part of the day, but the brownies I had for lunch were good!"
Doors will open at 7:30am in the front. If you need to drop off earlier please sign up for Extended Care. Drop off for Extended Care is at the side doors of the gym closest to the playground.
Students are dismissed from school at 3:00pm. Students who are not picked up by 3:10 will be walked down to Extended Care. Extended Care costs $10 per day, per child from 3:10 pm to 6 pm.
For the 2022 – 2023 school year, schools are required to return to charging for school meals.
