STANDOUT COYOTES

SENIOR RAMON MENDOZA HITS HOME RUN

Ramon Mendoza hit his first home run at Glendale in Thursday's game. Ramon is a four-year varsity 2nd baseman for the Coyotes. In Thursday's game Ramon went 3 for 3 with 2 walks. His 2-run home run, along with 2 doubles gave him 3 RBI's, which contributed to an 11-3 win over the Cardinals. Ramon is an integral piece of the Coyote's defense and has a .333 batting average. He hopes to play baseball for Benedictine University and study health sciences in the fall. Ramon loves the game of baseball and enjoys the memories he has made with his team mates and looks forward to an extended season this year. Go COYOTES!!

COUNSELORS CORNER

Congratulations to our Biology teachers and students for successful AIMS test completion! Students worked hard and we appreciate their effort. For those who missed the test we will be scheduling test makeup days. Don't forget that AZMerit starts next week and we want to see the students' best effort! Making sure student are well rested and well fed goes a long way to help them succeed in testing.

EVIT has had some great visits with students on campus...remember it's not too late to apply. Applications can be picked up in the counseling office but will need to be turned in directly to EVIT and can be delivered to their East campus on Power Road near Gateway Airport. For students who have applied, acceptance letters will be mailed by the end of April so watch your mail closely!

Finally, we are 8 days away from the SAT registration deadline. The test is schedule for Saturday, May 4, on the Combs High School campus...students registering after April 5 will face a steep late penalty, so register soon!
