From The Principal's Desk
As any parent who has ever felt the occasional moment of frustration trying to find a park close to school knows all too well, a major ongoing challenge for us is congestion at busy times of the day. Add to this the many and varied 'creative interpretations' of parking restrictions around school and we are faced with an ongoing issue that has no easy or immediate solutions.
Our 'Travelwise' initiatives are key to finding ways to raise awareness and improve the situation, as you may have noticed from the many developments and ongoing campaigns of the past few years. As with so many areas of school life, of course, parents also have a crucial role to play.
The perfect time to show your support is coming up next week in the form of 'Travelwise Week', when we will be promoting road safety with events, activities and prizes, as detailed in the flyer below. One event in particular that we hope as many students as possible are able to join us for is our attempt to form the longest Walking School Bus next Wednesday (13th August - please see the flyer below for further information). We would really appreciate your support to help make Travelwise Week a success and make a positive contribution to our learning community!
