Testing Tips
State assessment season has arrived! Beginning the week of April 4 all students will be taking these important tests. Please make sure your child arrives to school on time each day in April and help us by making appointments after school as much as possible. Students should be allowed the opportunity to gain 8-10 hours of sleep each night and begin their day with a healthy breakfast.

Reading Survey
Mrs. Pine, the Reading Interventionist at Chase Middle School, is conducting research to identify the negative impact caused to Chase students and their families by the pandemic. We plan to use this information to design and implement plans to better meet the needs of our students and families during this unprecedented time in their lives and our teaching careers.
We would like to invite any and all adults responsible for Chase students to participate in the research by completing the following survey. All information is completely anonymous.
You may complete the survey by going to: bit.ly/ParentSurvey22 or by scanning the QR code with your phone. Your participation is appreciated!
Chromebook & Library Book Check-In
Library books and Chromebooks must be turned in before summer!
Chromebooks collection dates will be announced, and that would be a good time to make sure all books are turned in, too!
Students will be asked to help replace books that have been lost or damaged beyond repair.
However, if your student is returning to Chase in the fall and would like to check out library books over the summer, they may do that the last week of school after all their other books are turned in. More information will be provided to students in the following weeks.
Students who wish to take books home for the summer must meet the following requirements:
- clean library record (no missing books/lost book fines to Chase)
- planning to return to Chase in August- parent agrees to responsibility for extended library checkouts for the summer with a signed note or email
- parent email and phone number to contact if needed
- Any books lost or damaged over the summer must be paid for/replaced in August
Nursing Newsflash
Students who will be entering 7th grade in the 2022/2023 school year are required to have updated immunizations including: Tdap (tetanus booster) and MCV (meningococcal). If your student has already received these immunizations, please send documentation to the nurse at this time. Students will be required to provide proof of immunization within 30 days of the start of school in the fall. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Garst at 785-295-3845.
PTO Fundraiser
Information from ShareFest
ShareFest is an event created with the belief that churches and organizations can do more together than any one group could do separately. The event brings together citizens from all over Topeka to improve our community.
Landscaping, painting, and cleaning up the grounds of local schools are ways that volunteers will be spending their time to help give back. Topeka Public Schools is among the organizations to benefit from this year's ShareFest, which will be held on Saturday, April 30 from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
This event is only possible with the help of volunteers! If you are interested in volunteering, please visit sharefesttopeka.com.
