Blood Drive this Thursday- A reason to donate

Please come out to the Shelby County Area Technology Center on February 11th to donate blood to support HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America). If we reach a goal of a certain number of units of blood donated, the Kentucky Blood Center will give HOSA money to give to a student as a scholarship.

Blood donation is a personal interest of mine. 17 years ago, I was born premature, weighing 1 lb 12 oz. If it wasn't for the selfless act of people donating blood, I would not have received the multiple blood transfusions that saved my life.

Every unit of blood (1 pint) that is donated has the potential to save up to 3 lives. Please consider taking a little bit of time out of your day on February 11th to donate blood.
