While our local health data has shown a slight improvement this week, the numbers still remain high in our local zip codes and Hamilton County. We will continue to assess weekly. Please note there will need to be a minimum of two weeks of positive data trends before a change is made to the current policy. If a change is made, families will be informed via email on the Friday prior to implementation.

NEW THIS YEAR: Our new and improved COVID-19 Dashboard is now interactive and updated at the end of each day. You can track confirmed cases districtwide, by building, and by students/staff. You can also see the number of close contacts in quarantine. Please note, the dashboard will begin reflecting data on August 30.
Staggered Start to School: August 30 and August 31
- Grades 1-6 with the last name beginning A-K
- Grades 10-11 who are new to the district
- Returning virtual students in Grade 10
- All Grade 7 students
- All Grade 9 students
- All Grade 12 students
- All preschool students
- Kindergarten Readiness Assessment (by invitation
The first day of school is August 31 for students:
- Grades 1-6 with the last name beginning L-Z
- All Grade 8 students
- All Grade 10-11 students who did not start on August 30
Check Your Bus Route Information
Please make sure you recheck your student's bus route information prior to the first day of school for potential adjustments to pick-up and drop-off times. This information is available inside the Sycamore Community Schools Mobile App. Simply enter your Parent Portal email and password into the "Student Info Log-in” icon to access this information on your smartphone. The app is free and available for download on iTunes and Google Play. You can also check your routes by entering your student ID on our website, by clicking here.
As a reminder, transportation services often experience slight delays during the first weeks of school, particularly in the afternoon. In the event of a delay longer than 15-20 minutes, we will alert families via email and text message. It is important that families please limit calls to the Transportation Department in order to keep the lines clear. We appreciate your patience as we get running on a normal schedule!

Nationwide Food Shortages Will Affect Your School Kitchens This School Year
There are nationwide food shortages that will affect our department this school year due to unavailable items or last-minute replacements by the distributors/manufacturers. Menus are subject to change, as always, but more than ever this school year. We will do our best to provide timely notification to families when major outages occur affecting the menu(s). We appreciate your patience and understanding.

A form does not need to be filled out yearly, only as information changes BUT does need to be on file for a notification to be placed on the student’s school meal account
