Recent KCSD Honors
Midway Elementary teacher Teri Davis has been selected to attend the 2014 Science P.L.U.S. Institute at Roper Mountain Science Center this summer. The Institute gives intensive training in science teaching methods to science teachers from across South Carolina.
The Kershaw County School District is featured as a "Spotlight on Success" in the 2014-16 South Carolina State Education Technology Plan for its use of the NComputing device, which resulted in over $160,000 in savings.

Butterfly Magic
Mt. Pisgah Elementary student Kamryn Etters participates in the 4-H/Clemson Extension butterfly release program. Mt. Pisgah students have been working this spring to create a butterfly habitat.

Wateree Elementary teachers Linda Poeta and Missy Catoe celebrated Memorial Day with their kindergarten students by making patriotic hats and drawing pictures for soldiers in Afghanistan.

Reminder of instructions for new email starting June 16
As part of our district’s transition to Google Apps for Education, our email system will change from Microsoft Exchange to Gmail in June.
Your district email address (firstname.lastname@kcsdschools.net) will NOT change, but the way you access your email will change. Below is important information you will need to know in order to access your email. (You may want to print this out for your information.)
Accessing NEW Email Messages (received on or after June 16th)
As of June 16th, you will access all new email messages using the following information:
· Website: www.gmail.com
· Email: your current district email address (firstname.lastname@kcsdschools.net)
· Password: Gmail2014@ (You will be prompted to change your Gmail password the 1st time you log in. This will NOT change your password for any other district services.)
· Click “Sign in”
Accessing OLD Email Messages (received prior to June 16th)
For the next school year (until June 30, 2015), you will still be able to access all email currently in your district email account using the following information:
· Website: https://exchange2010.kcsdschools.net
· Username: kershaw\ + your current district username (firstname.lastname) - ex. kershaw\frank.morgan
· Password: your current district password
· Click “Sign in”
