Parking Lot Reminders

As the weather turns cold and rainy, we want to remind you of a few important things:

  • Please drive slowly when dropping off and picking up students. We are having cars drive fast out of the parking lot. Please be watching for young children who may enter the road.

  • We encourage all parents to go through the Pick-up line. We are working on making sure there are two lines, both lines will turn for K-2nd grades. This helps keep traffic off of 174th.

  • If you do park to pick up your child, we ask that you stay and wait for traffic behind you to clear. We are having cars that are trying to back up and leave, while cars are still coming in.

November Meeting Recap

Thank you to everyone who joined us for last week's PTO meeting! Attendees approved two teacher RFFs, providing funding for Big Life Journals for third grade students and subscriptions to the newsmagazine The Week Junior for our fifth graders. Thank you to Ms. Gettling and Mr. Stewart for bringing these proposals to the PTO!

If you're interested in catching up on previous meetings, you can always access the minutes on our website.

PTO Parent and Teacher Survey

You may have seen this QR code around school - we are aiming for 100% participation! As a little extra incentive, 1 in every 50 entries will win a $25 gift card! The reason for the survey is simple - we need your input to help guide PTO spending on school projects. We realize not everyone can attend PTO meetings, so we'd like to hear your voice today!

Please use the QR Code or click below on the link to take the survey.

Learning Garden Update

We are so excited to see the new Learning Garden taking shape. Kudos to Aaron Guffey, Randell and Colin Pelak, and Melissa Lasiw for all of their hard work! There will be opportunities to join us for (hopefully) our final Garden Work Party of the year to assemble the last garden bed, install it, and finish cleaning up the old garden area. Details to come soon!

We are so excited for the spring, when we can plant and grow some wonderful vegetables, fruits, and herbs. What would you like to see growing in the garden? Send ideas to: gardenclublead@bspto.org

Immunization Exclusion Day

Dear Parents/Guardians:

Please note that Immunization Exclusion Day is FEBRUARY 15, 2023. Your child's immunizations must be up to date by this day. According to Oregon state law, no student will be allowed to attend school if immunizations have not been completed. All absences will be considered unexcused.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact AnnMarie McLeod at annmarie_mcleod@beaverton.k12.or.us

Hand Sanitizer Donations

During the last few years the District was providing hand sanitizer for schools. That plan has now stopped and we need to provide our own bottles.

We could use your help. If you are willing to donate a bottle or two (foam preferred), you can bring it to the office.

Thank you for your help.

State Report Cards

Each Fall, the Oregon Department of Education produces school and district report cards. Here is the 2021-22 Bethany Report:
