Arrival/Car Rider Dismissal
It has been noted that we have had a few students arriving on school property way before our arrival time of 8:30am. Please be aware of the time of your students arrival due to safety concerns. Staff does not report officially until 8:30am.
Our FCPS Transportation department has shared that considering many students are being picked up in the car rider line after school, it is impacting the Middletown Middle bus routes for their dismissal. If possible, please wait to begin lining up in the car rider line until after 3:15.
Fall Into Reading
MES September reading challenge runs until September 30th! Log into BEANSTACK and log your minutes.
Bus Information
Bus Information: Only students routed on buses may ride to/from school on the bus. We are not allowed to take notes for students to ride home with friends or take a bus they are not routed on unless it is an emergency. For example: Parent/guardian is out of town, friend parent is their responsibility to this date.
Attendance and Leaving Early Notes
New this year, MES is asking parents to email all sick and vacation excuse notes to the teacher and MiES.attendance@fcps.org. All notes for students leaving early should be emailed to the teacher, loretta.shafer@fcps.org and christina.faron@fcps.org
Notes brought in with students continue to be acceptable and preferred.
Confidential Health Information Forms (CHIC)
REMINDER/ACTION/INFORMATION: Important Reminder about Student Confidential Health Information Forms (CHIC)
The Confidential Health Information Form is a critical safety tool that provides important health information about your students and is the basis for school health staff to identify students who may have allergies, asthma, seizures, or other health concerns that may require emergency response during the school day or daily school health support throughout the school year that allows students to safely access their educational programs. This form was sent home with your student the first week of school and needs to be completed or updated annually at the beginning of each school year and upon enrollment. You may find additional forms here if the paper copies were misplaced. Confidential Health Form English Confidential Health From Spanish
