AUXS Application Announcement

I'm writing to ask your cooperation in completing the AUXS application each morning. We are still having a significant number of families who are not filling out the form. Our goal is to get kids into their classrooms as quickly as possible, and not to send any child home. Please help us with this goal by completing the form each morning.

Students who complete the AUXS application every day for the remainder of the month of Febraury will be placed in a drawing to win a chance to be socially distanced Principal for the day!

Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten registration for the 2021-22 school year opened on Monday, February 1st on our website. Any Lumberton resident with a child who turns 5 on or before September 30th, 2021 is eligible to register for kindergarten. Find more information on our website HERE.

Lumberton School District Preschool Expansion Grant

The Lumberton Township School District is pleased to announce that we have been awarded a Preschool Expansion Grant from the New Jersey Department of Education. This award will allow the district to provide FREE, high quality preschool to a number of our three- and four- year-old students starting on February 1, 2021. The district will be partnering with the Center for Family Services to provide free, high quality preschool to 42 Head Start eligible Lumberton children.

Families must meet the criteria as outlined by Head Start, though some exceptions may be made for families moderately over these amounts. These income guidelines can be waived for families with special circumstances who might benefit from placement in Head Start.

What if I am not comfortable sending my child to school at this time?

There are several service delivery options available, including a fully remote option.

What do I do if I am interested in enrolling my child in the program?

Visit the district website to complete the interest form: https://www.lumberton.k12.nj.us or you can contact Caryn Zweben, Supervisor of Pupil Personnel Services: czweben@lumberton.k12.nj.us or by phone (609) 267-9099 x3808

Staff Shout Out

MR. TRAVAGLINI

Mr. T is a great match for co-teacher with Mrs. Gizelbach. He is always upbeat and friendly with the students. I’m sure it has not been easy to transition from years of active movement as a phys ed teacher to sitting for hours doing virtual learning... but he makes it work! He adds to the energy of the learning environment and always assists when needed. We appreciate his ability to adjust from a more athletic environment to the classroom.

Do you know a staff member who is doing an exceptional job? Please give them a shout out on the Google Form linked below. Your shout out could be featured in our next newsletter!
