National School Counseling Week

TCPS School Counselors
Please join all of Talbot County Public Schools to thank our School Counselors for their dedication and all they do for TCPS students! National School Counseling Week 2020, "School Counselors: Helping Build Better Humans," will be celebrated from Feb. 3-7, 2020, to focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within U.S. school systems. National School Counseling Week, sponsored by ASCA, highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career. National School Counseling Week is always celebrated the first full week in February.

National Career & Technology Education Month

Big picture
TCPS joins school districts across the nation during the month of February to celebrate national Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month®. CTE Month provides an opportunity to highlight CTE programs and demonstrate how CTE helps students become college- and career- ready and prepares them for high-wage, high-demand career fields.

TCPS CTE programs fall under ten career clusters or groupings of interrelated occupations that represent the full range of career opportunities in key economic sectors of Maryland’s economy. At a time when opportunity for employment is so critical, CTE programs provide our students the skills to successfully enter the workforce or move into a college program.
