December Fun!
Dear Broadmoor Families,
This past week was filled with a lot of hard work and a little fun as well! Our third graders impressed us Thursday night with their incredible Winter Concert. It was great seeing everyone singing and having so much fun.
This Monday (tomorrow) is the 4th and 5th grade Winter Concerts. 4th grade performs at 6pm and 5th grade performs at 7:30pm. I have included reminders below.
Our students also had a great first week of giving! As you can see below, we had quite the response to our first week of our Season of Giving campaign! The Blessings in a Backpack program is so thankful for all of your generosity! This week we are accepting donations to gift to our seniors in our community. Each year, a local organization - Traveling Turkeys - provides necessities and gifts to our senior citizens in local nursing homes. The list of donations include: chapstick, deodorant, pens, word find and coloring books, hard candy and colored pencils. Thank you!
Please make sure you are checking in with your child's teacher letters each week and making note of important deadlines and dates! There is a lot going on in these next 2 weeks! We also have many dates listed at the bottom of this newsletter and on our website, also linked below.
Thank you and have a wonderful week,
Cindy Apple, Principal

Are You In the Know with PTO?
The PTO does so many incredible things for our students and staff. Thank you PTO!!!
It's Getting Cold Out There!
Please send weather appropriate clothing with your children each day. The playground can be very chilly, especially when the wind is blowing! Students continue to go outside for recess when the temperature and/or wind chill is above 25 degrees. Full recess (and other outdoor activities) are permitted when the temperature and/or wind chill is at (or above) 25 degrees and participating students are considered to be appropriately dressed. (jacket/coat, gloves, hat, close-toed shoes, pants instead of shorts, etc.) When temperatures and/or the wind chill are below 25 degrees, students will have indoor recess.
