Highlights for the week:
- 5th and 6th graders engaged in the "gum drop" challenge with Mrs. Dunne and Mrs. Bordeaux. Ask your student what they were investigating!
- Mrs. Day's second graders made water color jellyfish to go with their final non-fiction writing!
- Mrs. Power's students had a "positive party" and celebrated their hard work with games, movies, and healthy allergen-free snacks!
- Mr. Kelly's 4th graders gave me a heart attack when I walked in unknowingly on them dissecting cow eyes for science!
- Mrs. Chisholm's class learned all about Diwali, or Deepavali, from Areha and her family!

Principal Updates
I hope you all rest, get healthy (or stay healthy), and enjoy AMAZING food and celebrations. Happy Kwanzaa, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, or simply... happy break!
Please remember, due to the New Year holiday there is no school on Monday January 2nd. We return Tuesday January 3rd ready to finish out the semester strong! We'll be gearing up for our second round of parent teacher conferences, preparing to share progress that students have made this semester.

Calendar reminders
- No school Monday January 2nd for the New Year holiday. Students return from winter break on Tuesday January 3rd.
- No school Monday January 16th for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
- Parent-teacher conferences are all day on Thursday January 26th and Friday January 27th. Students do not attend school these days, though we would love them to attend their conference!
- Friday February 3rd is our semester break day. No school for students.

PTG and I are asking for some family/community input on possible long-term goals that PTG could support funding with. We have a survey we would love for anyone to take around this long-term planning. Survey can be found here.
We also plan to send the same survey to staff and even get some student input!
