Principal's Message
I am sure you have heard much about being respectful, responsible, and safe...the Wildcat Way. We also explore other positive character traits during the year. This month our classrooms will explore the concepts of kindness and sticking together to combat bullying and negative behaviors. At the end of the month, we will all pledge to “stick together” as we write our individual names on pieces of Duck Tape® and post them together on a poster that will be displayed prominently in Meadow View as a constant reminder to be kind, caring and respectful to others. A huge Paws Up to our guidance counselor, Brooke Smith, our PBIS team, and our teachers and kids. We are looking forward to a great month of learning!
We are approaching the end of the second trimester, and that means there is the opportunity to transition from face to face instruction to the Oconomowoc Virtual Learning Community. If that is something your family is interested in, please see the letter below for more details.
Finally, our second graders are wrapping up a Social Studies unit with a service project. They want to help our community and are sponsoring a "Souper" Bowl food drive. Their goal is 450 cans of soup or any canned food item. The food drive lasts until February 5 and as of this morning, they already had 85 items!
Paws Up,
Mr. Schreiber

USDA EXTENDS FREE MEAL PROGRAM
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service has again extended the free student meals program, providing a free breakfast and lunch option for students until June 30, 2021, or until the USDA confirms that funding is no longer available, whichever comes first. As a result, student breakfast and lunch will be free on the days that students are learning at school face-to-face, and the days that students are learning virtually.
Please Check Your Student Fees!
New Illness Updates
We strongly encourage you to monitor your child's health continually. It's important to be mindful of any illness symptoms that your child may have before sending them to school. Please keep you child home if they are ill.
If you need information on how to contact your school attendance line, please visit the Absence Reporting Information page on our website.
If you need help understanding when your child should return to school, please visit the Absence Reporting Information page or the "OASD Health Services Information" drop-down on the OASD Learning Hub page.
Both pages have detailed illness guidelines and a video from OASD Health Services Director, Mrs. Deal.
