“Don't try to make me grow up before my time…”
― Louisa May Alcott, Little Women
The second half of the school year is quickly ticking on and as parents we are faced with much growth and change of our little ones. Spring semester always brings changes that, as much as we wish we could, do not slow down. So many physical and mental changes begin to blossom during the second half of the year. Our little ones begin to show more growth, more knowledge, and begin to bring awareness of how quickly time truly passes. Some of use will prepare to register our tiny ones for their first year of school, some of us will begin to realize that these days are the lasts for ours in elementary, or even middle school. While some of us will also be preparing to let go of all we have worked so hard to raise, as they walk the stage and move on to bigger adventures. As we watch these moments begin to flash by and grasp the reality that change is inevitable, let's remember to breathe in every moment, no matter how small it may seem. Get that phone out and be the annoying parent who always is snapping photos, capture these moments and memories in time so that you can cherish them forever, even after they are grown and gone.
