How much calories do I need in a day?
I need about 1,600- 2,000 calories in a day because I am moderately active. If I were not active then I would need 1,400- 1,600 calories, but if I was really active then I would need 1,800- 2,200.
How much protein do I need in a day?
Boys and girls ages 9-13 need the same .95 grams of protein for each kilogram in their bodies. That means that for me I need about 34 grams of protein per day.
How much physical activity do I need in a day?
I need 60 minutes of physical activity each day. Most of the 60 minutes should be either moderate-or vigorous aerobic physical activity, and this should include vigorous activity at least 3 days a week.
What am I doing currently to keep myself healthy and what do I need to add?
Some things that I am currently doing to make sure that my life is healthy is eating the right amount of foods required and making sure that I'm not eating too much junk food. I am making sure that I check the food guide for serving ideas as well. Im making sure that I maintain my weight and thinking of other ways that can help my life be healthy too. I think that I should continue eating right and with what I am doing. Although I think that I should start getting more physical activity because I am definitely not getting the required 60 minutes of physical activity.
What are 3 key things I can do in my life to keep me healthy?
Some key things that I can do to keep myself healthy is eating right, more physical activity and control my weight. Research has proven that many illnesses such as diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure can be controlled by eating right. Some foods that are healthy for me are dark-leafy and deep-yellow vegetables, citrus fruits, melons, juices, lentils, wheat, cereals and lots more. I should take care of my physical activity because as I grow up it can lead to many problems afterwards. Physical activity is a great way to be fit and burn your foods. Research shows that physical activity can prevent talent six diseases: heart disease, high blood pressure, obesity, diabetes, osteoporosis and mental illnesses such as depression.
