2017-2018: Continuous Learning and Growth for All!
Our Mission: Arbor Springs Committed to Student Success.
From Dr. D. and Dr. T.
Gator Run was a huge success! Students earned almost $45,000 this year! Thanks to our continued success with Gator Run, students in third, fourth, and fifth grades are enjoying field trips out of county. Fifth grade visited the Little White House earlier this week, fourth is going to experience the wonders of Fern Bank next week, and third grade has a trip planned to visit the Capitol Building in Atlanta. Thank you all for supporting our school and making these trips possible! Funds will go to purchasing more Chromebooks in K-2 since those students are not served with 1:1 technology by the county.
Family Fun NIght was another great event! Teachers, as usual, raised the bar with costumes ranging from Trolls to the Seven Dwarves to unicorns--and more! If you missed it, you missed a fun time! It's always nice to see students who have moved on from elementary school return with their younger siblings. Check out just a few of our pictures below.
Don't forget the changes to Grandparents' Day this year. Specifically, since we have had such wonderful participation, we decided to split it into two days. Also, due to parking difficulties, we are moving it to lunch instead of breakfast. You should have received a flyer with key details: If your grandchild is in pre-k, kindergarten, grade 2, or grade 3, they will have the opportunity to have lunch with grandparents on November 10, after which they can go to the media center to check out the book fair. If your grandchild is in grade 1, 4, or 5, lunch will be on Monday, November 13. Grandparents who have children in more than one grade can choose a day to have lunch. Please call the office to reserve a spot if you did not receive the flyer.
Thanks to our fabulous PTA who make these and so many other fun things happen!
