When a person turns turns 21 in Scotland they are given a key to the house which is a symbol that they may come and go as they please and stay out as long as they want.
Haggis is a popular dish eaten on a birthday in Scotland.
A Burns supper is a celebration of the life and poetry of the poet Robert Burns, author of many Scots poems. The suppers are normally held on or near the poet's birthday, 25 January, sometimes also known as Robert Burns Day.
