Crisis Drills
During your class meeting or at a time that is convenient for you on Monday or Tuesday, please discuss the crisis drill for this week:
Our safety drill for this week is to review one option of our ALICE procedure. Who remembers what E stands for? Evacuate is correct. What does evacuate mean? What are some ways we might evacuate or leave this space? Let students share their thoughts first. Possible responses and things to reinforce with students are:
*Doors
*Windows – This is a good time to explain that we might ask you do something that we wouldn’t normally do like break a window. Remember it is always important to be ready to listen carefully and do what I say even if it’s not something we would normally do.
If you want to show the video before or after you go over this, you can click on the following:
The video is optional, but might give your students a chance to review ALICE.
Please let me know if you have any questions in regards to this.
Please note that it is an expectation that this is discussed on Monday or Tuesday. Thank you!
iPad Check In - May 12th
Remote students will check their iPads in the following week.
I know that this isn't ideal, but hopefully the extra time of knowing this is coming will help with you planning.
Please hold on sharing this with parents/families until we have more direction from the district!!!
Please see the attachment. Thanks!
Ah...the small of burnt popcorn!
Mrs. Microwave told me that she would rather smell like freshly cooked pasta or tasty leftovers so has asked that I share the following information:
Please don’t use the preset popcorn key on the microwave and stay with the popcorn while it is popping.
Thank you for your help in keeping the Mrs. Microwave so fresh and so clean.
Think Outside the Box
Have you ever wanted to lead a program, but didn't know how to get it funded? Have you been thinking that a certain program would be amazing, but didn't know where to get started on it?
Please see the attachment and get those creative juices flowing! More info will come on how to apply, but this attachment will give you some ideas!

3. EOY Vertical Team Planning Form (Due Date is May 14th): Also in the "2021-2022 Class Lists, folder, please place your watchlist students on the EOY Vertical Team Planning Form. You are welcome to cut and paste any information from your grade level PLC's to save time. There is an example on the form. You do not do this for every student, only students that are on your PLC watchlist.
I will pull the class lists and this input form when I start forming the classes for next year.

PTO Funding Requests
Please have these turned in by April 30th! All requests will be voted on at the May PTO meeting.
These should be sent to me when completed.
Please do this for any funding requests that you have as a grade level. There will not be a principal wish list form to fill out as in the past.
Once you fill this form out, I will have an opportunity to determine if I can pay for this out of our school budget or we will ask PTO for support.
