About the Facilitator
Lois Ehrmann PhD, LPC, NCC has been practicing in the central PA area for over 27 years. She specializes in trauma and attachment struggles within families. In 2004 Lois joined an EMDR training led by Andrew Seubert, MA, LPC and ever since her professional life changed dramatically. EMDR training assisted Lois in moving many of the traumatized clients that she felt stuck with toward resolution. The healing and positive outcomes were so profound that she went on to pursue EMDR Certification through EMDRIA and became one of the first clinicians in Centre County to be certified. Her study of EMDR led her to research additional brain based strategies of treatment and eventually she opened up the CHOICES Program in State College, PA which is a trauma informed outpatient therapy practice.
In the first year of CHOICES Lois decided to pursue certification as an EMDR Approved Consultant because she wanted to offer the opportunity for other trained EMDR therapists to gain more expertise and certification. Lois has been so committed to the use of EMDR for survivors of trauma that she has offered CHOICES as a training site for the formal trainings ever since it’s opening
and has supported the formal training of every clinician at CHOICES within that program.
Supervisees and consultees find Lois to be approachable, collegial and empowering. She enjoys mentoring fellow sojouners on their personal and professional trails and strives always to role model and teach balance in all things.
