Fraud
Intentional deception for gain.
What are examples of Fraud?
- Fake email or message to get someone to provide personal/account information. (Phishing & Smishing)
- Buy something online but don’t get the item you paid for. (Retail/Auction Fraud)
- Pay for a kit or components for “easy” job from home. (Work at Home)
Fake Email(s)
You can get fake email(s) no matter what email program you use. The filters might be different, but fraud goes out to EVERYONE. No matter what program your using.
Account Information
Do NOT send information out. If a credit card/phone/bank company is asking for information, it's probably fraud. The company has that information already.
Auction Fraud
Just because you bid something, and pay for it. Doesn't mean it will:
- Be delivered.
- Be what you paid for.
