Annual Registration / Schedule Release - June 13 - July 29

REGISTRATION STEPS REQUIRED FOR ALL STUDENTS

ANNUAL RESIDENCY VERIFICATION

This is an annual requirement of all District 230 families. Many families should have already received confirmation of approved residency through the CLEAR residency process. If you have not received an email confirming your residency was verified through our CLEAR Residency process, please complete the residency verification via Laserfiche (link) through July 29. If you are unable to complete this process via Laserfiche, or if you have any questions, please contact our Guidance Office at 708/671-3124 for assistance.

FEE PAYMENT

Pay student fees using one of the following methods:


  • ONLINE: Payment Link

  • Login to Skyward using the PARENT login and password and select Fee Management

  • IN-PERSON: Call 708/671-3170 to speak to the Cashier about an in-person payment option.

ANNUAL REGISTRATION ONLINE CONSENT/VERIFICATION

From June 13 to July 29, login to Skyward using the PARENT login and password and select the 2022-2023 Consent tab on the left.


  • SELECT 2022-2023 Consent and complete the following:

    • Step 1 – Parental Consent

    • Step 2 – Digital Learning Agreement

    • Step 3 – Complete 2022-2023 Consent


You must complete an Online Consent for EACH student.

HEALTH RECORDS

FRESHMAN/TRANSFER STUDENTS – PHYSICAL AND DENTAL

All incoming freshmen and transfer students entering Sandburg for the first time must have:


  • A high school physical on the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) form including an updated immunization record. Please complete and sign the Health History section. The physical must be dated on or after 8/17/2021. (link to form)

  • A dental exam on the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) form must be completed by a licensed dentist, dated on or after 11/15/2021. (link to form)

  • These forms must be on file with the Sandburg Health Office by Friday, July 29, 2022.

  • Upload your documents to: CSHD 230 Student Medical Information Upload.


SENIOR CLASS OF 2023 – PROOF OF MENINGOCOCCAL VACCINE

All incoming seniors must show proof of having received one dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine on or after their 16th birthday. If your child received a dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine before their 16th birthday, he/she will need to show evidence of receiving two doses at least 8 weeks apart. There are several options to get the vaccine before school begins:


  1. Make an appointment with your regular health care provider.

  2. Visit your local Township. Here is the link for the Orland Township Health Clinic for more information.

  3. Visit CVS, Walgreens or Osco and ask if they give vaccines at that location.

August 18 (Thursday) – 1st day for Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors

Skyward Overview/Instructions

Fee Waiver and or Free Lunch

District 230 uses the State of Illinois’ Direct Certification process to determine families who are automatically eligible for Free Lunch. These families are receiving assistance under the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and/or the Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF).


Families who are automatically eligible for Free Lunch will –

  • Receive notification from the District prior to Schedule Release in August

  • Automatically receive a waiver of their student’s 2022-2023 school year fees


Families not part of the SNAP and/or TANF program, may qualify for Free Lunch. These families should complete this Fee Waiver Application and submit required documentation.

Transportation/Busing Information

  1. All bus routes will be released in early August.

  2. To access your bus route, login to your Parent Skyward account.

  3. Look for the tab on the left that says “Busing”; your student’s route will be listed next to AM Bus Number.

  4. In some instances a student may have a different AM and PM route; if this is the case, a route will be listed next to both AM Bus Number and PM Bus Number.

  5. Once you have your bus route number, click on the “District Links” at the top right corner of your Skyward screen and select “Bus Routes”.

  6. Choose your bus option (either regular or zero hour, depending on your student’s schedule), then scroll through the document to find your bus route number and pick the stop closest to your home.

Athlete Registration

Athletes need to sign up for sports at sandburg.8to18.com/accounts/login. Online registration opens in mid-July.


  • A current physical (within the last 13 months) must be on file with the Athletic Office.

  • Sophomore, Junior and Senior students should submit electronically to (link).

  • Freshman physicals should be submitted through the Health Office link ONLY (link).

  • You will receive an email confirming if the physical is approved or a resubmission is necessary with additional information.

  • Please note the Athletic Office is closed during the summer. Sports physical submissions will be checked periodically and follow-up communication will be sent at those times.

Student Items

Chromebooks will be distributed to incoming freshmen the first day of school. Student ID cards, PE uniforms, locks and goggles will be distributed to students during the first week of school.
