Fold
Mountains belts form when continents collide when separated by an ocean. When the plates collide and one sub ducts under the other the ocean basin closes. The oceanic crust thickens and forms waves that create mountains. The belts that are seen in the mountains are formed by the plates colliding.
Block
Block Mountains are mountains the mountains that are formed when large masses of rock break apart, and create mountains that and large blocks of rock. These are formed when the earths crust is twisted or stretched.
Volcanic
Volcanic Mountains are formed when molten rock deep inside of the earth erupts and builds on top of each other on the surface. Whenever the magma hits the surface and builds on the previous dried magma, it forms Volcanic Mountains.
