COVID-19 Updates
We find ourselves amid another surge in COVID-19 cases and will be making a few adjustments to welcome our students next week. Since the Omicron variant has demonstrated the ability to infect at a rate significantly higher than the Delta variant, we need to make sure we maintain our school campus COVID-19 free. Therefore, we will implement the following measures to return to school:
Tuesday, January 4 - There will be no classes on Tuesday. The school will remain closed for one more day and reopen on Wednesday.
Wednesday, January 5 - There will be Mandatory Testing of All Students & Staff Regardless of Vaccination Status The CORE COVID-19 team will test all students and staff in the morning. Students who test positive will be isolated until their parents pick them up. Students who have negative test results will remain at school for the day.
Please do not send your child to school if they have any of the following symptoms: Fever or chills, Cough, Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, Fatigue, Muscle or body aches, Headache, New loss of taste or smell, Sore throat, Congestion or runny nose, Nausea or vomiting, Diarrhea
Students must wear the school’s PE Uniform, which includes the navy- blue sweatshirt and sweatpants with the school’s logo. (If your child does not have the school’s sweatshirt or pants, they can only wear a blue or grey for this Wednesday).
Student Drop-off: 8:00-8:25 am (Ms. Deleon will provide morning care).
Breakfast will NOT be served.
Scattered COVID-19 Testing: 8:30 - finish (Each classroom teacher will take their class to the testing site).
Scattered Lunch Schedule: 11:20 - finish (Lunch will be served to all students. (Parent will be billed for lunch orders, not place).

Vaccinated Students may have shorter quarantine requirements if exposed or test positive. The CDC recently announced new guidelines for people who are vaccinated. Should your son/daughter be exposed or test positive for COVID-19, we will be in touch with you on the specific requirements as they apply to your son/daughter’s situation.
Free COVID-19 Test at home kit
COVID-19 or if you have symptoms. This holiday season, we want to make it as easy as possible
to get a test. You can get a free COVID-19 test mailed to your home.
Note: This is a PCR COVID-19 test, not a rapid COVID-19 test.
At the moment, eligible LA County residents will be able to complete free testing in the comfort of their homes - regardless of immigration, employment or insurance status.

Dear LA County Community Sector Partners,
Please see information below about no-cost COVID-19 testing at local health centers and select pharmacies.
The COVID-19 testing sites on the LA County COVID-19 Testing website offer no-cost (free) testing.
The City of Los Angeles also offers free COVID-19 testing.
U.S. Health and Human Services (HHS) has also partnered with pharmacies and retail companies to accelerate testing for more Americans in communities across the country (HHS website)

- Protect healthcare personnel by eliminating direct-contact with symptomatic individuals
- Expand testing to communities across the United States, especially those that are under-tested and socially vulnerable
Please visit these companies' websites to learn more about their efforts to provide timely and accessible COVID-19 testing or to schedule an appointment.
