Causes/ Complications

  • inherited from parents
  • change in egg or sperm
  • metabolic or hormonal disorders
  • kidney disease, chromosomal abnormalities, absorptive abilities
  • crowded teeth, bowing of legs, fluid in brain, delay in motor skills
  • difficulty breathing in sleep, frequent ear infections


Test/ Treatment

  • genetic test
  • hormone test assess levels of growth
  • insert metal staples at ends of bones
  • insert rods or staples to correct shape of spine
